Oki! My name is Raymonda Waterchief and my Siksika name is Siibyohgoomii (Night Caller). My parents are the late Raymond and Reverend Margaret Waterchief. I am the proud mother of Treena and Rufus (Maryann) Pretty Youngman Jr. and have 10 beautiful grandchildren. I also have 2 adopted sons, Ira (Lydia) McHugh and Cory (Teshawna) Alston.
Many, many years ago, I graduated from Drumheller Composite High School and went to Business College in Calgary. I like challenges in my careers and have had many different employment opportunities from being a clerk at 7-11 to being Executive Assistant for many of our Nation leaders. I have also worked at the Royal Bank main branch in Calgary at Bankers Hall. At the age of 55, I still wanted new challenges, so I went back to school at Bow Valley College and graduated from the Medical Office Assistant program. I did my practicum at Foothills Medical Center and they hired me and kept me on for several years, there at FMC.Â
Calgary was becoming too overpopulated and crazy for me, and I longed to come back home to be closer to family. I wanted to take care of my elderly Mother, who is the apple of my eye. I would like to live the way she did treating everyone with love and respect and most importantly, to have faith in our Lord and Saviour.
God bless you all!
